Social Responsibility

We aim to be an example to others by setting high standards applicable to all aspects of our business. Therefore, during the course of our day-to-day business activities, we will ensure we act in an environmentally responsible manner and remain committed to considering and conserving the environment.

EGS shall seek to continually improve its environmental performance by preventing pollution, increasing energy efficiency, minimising waste and ensuring that any potentially harmful effects are avoided.

To support these concepts our staff are regularly updated on our environmental objectives and trained in how to go about guaranteeing their realisation.

Furthermore, due to the nature of our product, our control systems, each specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer, have provided businesses with state of the art technology thereby minimizing waste, maximising efficiency and reliability and as a result, reducing harm to the environment.

Charity / fundraising

EGS prides itself in its commitment to charity. We have organised and completed a number of fundraising challenges for what we have identified as very worthy causes:

To name but a few our Office Manager Michelle completed a sponsored skydive, jumping 13,000 feet in aid of The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (UK), and our Director, Wayne Ward, completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon in addition to running the London Marathon for Shelter UK.

A number of EGS employees recently completed a 50 mile cycle route which began in Colchester, Essex, where we are based, going through Bures, Sudbury, Sible Headingmham, Pebmarsh, Wakes Colne and finishing back in Colchester. A large amount of money was raised for St Helena Hospice.

Marie our Health & Safety Administrator has completed a 3 day trek across part of the Sahara Dessert to raise money for St Helena Hospice.
